It's getting warmer! It's almost 40 degrees fairly regularly in the Northern Territory, and once and a while low pressure systems cause the heat to be pushed down into WA and Perth (see...now I'm a meteorologist!). But it does lead to fun plant life:

These orange flowers are a type of wild orchid (but not as "unique" as some orchids around here).

These flowers used to be bright pink, but has change to whitish/purplish - still nice, but not as stunning.

Finally some baby Eurasian Coots, which are quite common birds in the lakes and wetlands around Perth. I also managed to see a Wandering Albatross when I was last in Fremantle, which was pretty impressive!
