My Travels in Australia

M&Ms

Okay, so Australia has a lot of M&M varieties. Milk chocoloate, peanut, peanut butter, dark chocolate, crispy, mini, yellow & red, etc. But the best part is the exact formulae they use to actually put a certain number of colours in each bag. For your information, if you ever plan on buying Australian M&Ms, the colours you will get are:

Milk Chocolate / Dark Chocolate / Baking Bits
30% Brown
20% Red and Yellow (Each)
10% Orange, Blue and Green (Each)

Peanut Butter / Peanut
20% Brown, Yellow, Red and Blue (Each)
10% Orange and Green (Each)

Crispy / Mini
16.6% or 16.7% Brown, Yellow, Red, Blue, Orange and Green (Each)

For some reason crispies are supposed to have 16.6% and minis are supposed to have 16.7%? 16.67%?

I'll let you take a wild guess on the percentages of red vs. yellow in the bags of only yellow and red M&Ms. So, this is what the packaging, etc. says, but I think it needs to be tested in the future at some point. Now that you are an Australian M&M expert, you can visit Australia and pick your M&M type based on your favourite colour!

Today's new word of the day was myrmechocory. This is the relationship between a plant with seeds and ants that move the seeds. Just in case you ever have to use it in a sentence. I think it's usually better just to say "ants moving seeds", but if you want to say myrmechocory you can.
