My Travels in Australia

A Little Cooler

When it drops from around 42 to 15 degrees in one day, it actually does feel kind of cool! Haha.

I had my first actual class today, although I don't know I'd really call it that. There are 10 of us in the class, and it's more like a discussion where we all sit around a table and talk about stuff. As it turns out, the main prof for the course, also the director of the research part of our school, knows one of my profs from home. And one of the people in my class graduated from U Miami from exercise physiology last year...that was totally weird haha. It's a three hour class, but in the middle we always break and someone brings food each week!

We also saw a echidna outside the building today, which was cool. My prof says it's the Australian version of a squirrel (because it's so wide-spread)...I have trouble seeing a spiny, tail-less thing as a squirrel, but I'll go with it.

Dude ... a little cool? I'm sitting on the couch in the living room and I can't see Alumni House because there is too much snow falling right now. It's -4 degrees outside, white and WET ... I bet 15degrees feels pretty awesome. :p

Okay ... I've now complained about the snow. I'm glad things are going so well for you and that you're enjoying life down under. Any bat encounters with the spiders yet?
