My Travels in Australia

Finding the Bench

I headed off to try to get to King's Park, which is on top of Mt. Eliza (the escarpment that you can see in one of the pictures of Riverside Park. I headed off on the riverside trail, because there's supposed to be a path connecting it to King's Park. There is, but it's closed. So I ended up walking around up and to the top where I finally found the park. When I first wanted to go to Perth, I showed people a picture of a bench overlooking the city, and said that I wanted to find it. Well, I found it...or at least 50 of them, at King's Park.

King's Park also has the Lotterywest Federation Walkway, which is a cool bridge that goes across somewhat of a ravine in the park so that you walk in amongst the tree tops. It gives you a great view (although it's really narrow and somewhat difficult for someone afraid of heights haha).

Well, I'm off to Woolworth's to buy some stuff to make food - I'm here long enough that it makes way more sense than buying hotel food all the time. More later! :)
