My Travels in Australia

Exploring Sydney

I explored Sydney today, starting with Darling Harbour (where I am staying). I'm going to try to get some pictures of the harbour at night, because it apparently looks incredible, but for now these will have to do haha!

The Pyrmont Bridge crosses the harbour. It's a swing bridge, so when boats have to go through an announcer counts down until you have to be off the middle section (otherwise I guess you stuck spinning around on the bridge?). This is the Harbourside Centre as well as my hotel (Hotel Ibis) in the background!

I then eventually made my way to Observatory Hill and The Rocks to check out the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. As you can see, it wasn't the sunniest day for picture-taking, but it was definitely well worth the trip. I didn't get many pictures of The Rocks area, because my camera's battery was dying (since I didn't have an adapter to plug it in until now), but it was a beautiful old area of the city. That's not too surprising since The Rocks is the original founding site for Sydney! Of course, I did manage a few more pictures:

Until next time!
