As you've probably found out, I'm going to use this blog to keep you up to date with what's happening down under! I'm in Honolulu right now, visiting Waikiki Beach, on my way to Sydney (before eventually ending up in Perth). Landing in Hawaii was pretty much like landing in Florida - same ocean smell, warm weather, and lots of palm trees! The only difference was probably that I hadn't seen land for 6 hours, and the islands just sort of appear in the middle of the ocean. It's definitely beautiful here, with the beaches surrounded by mountains/volcanoes...
I tried to catch up on some of the time changing yesterday, but I will be exploring Waikiki today before catching my flight to Sydney at midnight (Hawaii time).

I'm glad that you're making the most of your travel time, and I'm super jelous at the same time. Perhaps I'll make a Hawaii stop when I come to visit ... :D
