My Travels in Australia

Stormy Weather

I'm hanging out at the hotel tonight, because it's pretty stormy outside. We have thunderstorms, and their calling for the possibility of hail and flash flooding in some of the areas outside Sydney. The beaches have 2 metre waves right now! So I'm planning to get some sleep early, since I have to be at the airport around 6am for my flight to Perth. I should be in Perth around 11am Perth-time, which is around 10pm back home (I'll be 13 hours ahead).

The picture above is from my hotel room window...the harbour is where the bridge is that you see. It's apparently harder to get to as a pedestrian, but it's the ANZAC Bridge, which was named after the Australia / New Zealand Army Corps - the people from the hotel say it was named on Remembrance Day in the 80s to commemorate lost troops. It's also apparently the largest bridge in Australia supported solely by cables.

Talk to you all from Perth!
